AEMC Advocacy Team
The Advocacy division is part of the Ateneo Environmental Management Coalition (AEMC). The role of the Advocacy division in the AEMC would be a direct link between the students and the administration regarding environmental issues within the Loyola Schools. The Advocacy acts as a liaison to the administration to help conceptualize projects, to raise environmental consciousness in the Loyola Schools.

Positions and Roles

Advocacy Director. He or she is the liaison to the AEMC Core and initiates, oversees and evaluates all activities of the AEMC-Advocacy.

Advocacy Deputy Director. He or she supports the Advocacy Director and assumes the duties of it in the event that (a) the duties have been delegated by the former, or (b) the AEMC Advocacy Director is incapable of doing such.

Three (3) Promotions Heads. They conceptualize, design and produce the necessary promotional materials in support of AEMC projects, and layout the information from the research team for dissemination to the Ateneo.
*Preferably with experience designing promotional materials and/or web management

Research and Development Head. He or she reviews and edits reports for information dissemination, and assist the AEMC-Core regarding the social acceptability and effectivity of the environmental policies and projects within the University.
*Preferably with experience in social science research work

Secretary-General. He or she manages all official records of the AEMC Advocacy, ensures that the minutes of all meetings of the AEMC Advocacy are monitored and documented in an organized manner, and is in charge of the documentation requirements of AEMC Advocacy’s activities.

Energy Conservation Talk


Catch the second leg of AEMC's Sustainable Development Talk Series this February 3 (wednesday) 4:30-6:00pm at Escaler Hall. Our guest speaker, Mr. Albert Lozada of SolarGen Philippines and Greenpeace South East Asia, will talk about energy and electricity conservation. See you there!

Environmental Caravan Lecture Series

Dear Friends in the Loyola Campus,

The Ateneo Environmental Management Coalition of the Loyola Schools
would like to invite you and your constituents to the Environmental
Caravan Lecture Series
to be held on Thurs. Feb 4,2010 at the Escaler
Hall of the Science Education Complex from 3 to 4:30 pm
.

Dr. Assunta Cuyegkeng ,VP for the Loyola Schools, will walk us through
the reasons why and how we should care for Mother Earth,and
consequentially for ourselves. She will also share with us the
environmental initiatives of communities within our school campus who
dream of a GREEN ATENEO.

Come join us for this experience and let's start working in unison
towards a cleaner,more environment friendly Campus.
